ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs), chaired by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, on Thursday approved the reconstitution of the board of directors of National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK).
The decision was taken on a single-point agenda, with the committee considering recommendations of the Board Nomination Committee in line with the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

According to officials, the members were selected based on their professional credentials and sectoral expertise to strengthen NESPAK’s governance and operational efficiency.
The committee emphasized that given the strategic importance of SOEs, the process of selection, scrutiny, and approval of boards must be carried out in a timely and coordinated manner to avoid unnecessary delays.
The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, along with senior officials, federal secretaries, and representatives from relevant ministries and regulatory bodies.
