The Ministry of Federal Education also validates the extension of vacations for schools and colleges

Following the decisions made in Sindh and Punjab, the Federal Education Ministry has now declared extended holidays for both public and private educational institutions in Islamabad.

As per the official notification, educational institutions falling under the purview of the Federal Education Ministry are scheduled to remain closed from 6 to 9 February (Tuesday to Friday). Additionally, 5 February (Monday) has been declared a public holiday. Students abstaining from classes on 10 February, Saturday, can enjoy a continuous break of 8 days, spanning from 4 February, Sunday, to 11 February, Sunday.

This announcement comes in the wake of the caretaker Sindh government’s decision to extend holidays for educational institutes in light of the General Elections, with schools, colleges, and universities closed from 6 to 9 February.

Notably, Punjab had previously declared an extended holiday period for all educational institutions across the province, with public and private sector schools, colleges, and universities remaining closed from February 6th to February 9th.
