Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Friday, tracking strength in international markets. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that per tola gold rose by Rs2,500, closing the day at Rs357,600.
For smaller measurements, 10 grams of gold gained Rs2,143, bringing the price to Rs306,584.
The rise follows Thursday’s dip, when gold per tola fell by Rs900 to Rs355,100.
Internationally, the gold rate increased by $25, touching $3,351 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium.
Silver also saw an uptick, with per tola prices increasing by Rs48 to reach Rs4,012.
Analysts note that global uncertainty and fluctuations in currency markets continue to influence the precious metals trade, impacting both local and international pricing trends.
