Foreign Office contradicts Afghan government’s assertion

The spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, issued the following statement:

“Attempting to alter the reality of geography, history, and international law through self-serving and imaginative assertions cannot change the facts.

It would be wise for the Afghan authorities to focus on addressing Pakistan’s legitimate security apprehensions rather than attempting to divert public attention with such regrettable statements.

Pakistan remains dedicated to enabling the controlled movement of individuals and commodities across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, adhering to the principles of interstate relations. We will persist in taking measures toward this objective.”
