In a press conference on Sunday with boxing legends, Amir Khan and Muhammad Waseem, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan agreed to fight PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz in a boxing match.
Amir Khan proposed a match between Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Maryam Nawaz in a light manner to which the PTI leader agreed to. She also took a shot at the PML-N leadership saying “Prime Minister Imran Khan has knocked out Mian Nawaz Sharif using his legal punches,” adding that the government was in talks with the British authorities to have the former prime minister deported from the United Kingdom.
PML-N’s Azma Bokhari responded to Dr Firdous’ approval to fight Maryam Nawaz on Twitter by saying that Maryam Nawaz is a “Rajkumari” who was trying to save the masses from the government’s punches of inflation, unemployment and corruption.
There is a constant rift between the PTI government and the PML-N since the last few months when the Opposition launched its anti-government campaign, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
