Faisalabad authorities crack down on illegal housing schemes in Dijkot

Faisalabad – In a strong enforcement move, the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has demolished eight illegal housing schemes in the Dijkot area, targeting both unapproved societies and unauthorized settlements.

The action followed inspections that revealed attempts to develop four illegal housing societies and four katchi abadis in Chak 262-RB and 263-RB without required permissions.

The schemes were being marketed under the names:

  • Gulshan-e-Habib

  • New Gulberg

  • Hidayat Town

  • Ali Garden

FDA teams dismantled roads, walls, and built structures, halting progress on the unauthorized projects. The demolition was supervised by Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin and Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa.

Officials stressed that all developers must secure proper approvals and meet legal requirements before launching housing schemes. Any further violations may result in criminal prosecution.

Citizens have also been urged to verify a project’s legal status before investing, to protect themselves from scams or future legal troubles.
