OGRA reduces LPG rates by Rs17.74 per kg for August in line with global price trends

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially announced a price cut of Rs17.74 per kilogram in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for the month of August 2025, aligning domestic prices with recent global trends.

The new LPG per kilogram price stands at Rs215.36, down from Rs233 in July. Consequently, the cost of an 11.8kg household cylinder has decreased by Rs209.24, setting the new price at Rs2,541.36, compared to Rs2,750.60 last month.

OGRA clarified that the adjustment was made in response to international LPG market fluctuations, with the objective of relieving inflationary pressures on Pakistani consumers.

The authority emphasized its continued efforts to ensure fair pricing and economic relief for households relying on LPG, particularly during times of high energy demand.

This latest revision offers a much-needed breather for domestic consumers amid ongoing inflation and rising utility costs.
