Gold gets cheaper again as prices continue to slide nationwide

Good news for buyers — gold prices in Pakistan have dropped for the second straight day, making jewellery a bit more affordable for now.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold lost Rs3,800 per tola, bringing the new price down to Rs354,365. If you’re buying by grams, 10 grams of 24-karat gold now cost Rs303,810 after a Rs3,258 cut. Even 22-karat gold is cheaper too, down by nearly Rs3,000 per 10 grams to Rs278,502.

Silver lovers also got a slight break. A tola of silver fell by Rs9 to Rs3,790, while 10 grams now cost Rs3,249 after an Rs8 dip.

On the global front, gold isn’t holding strong either — international prices slipped by $39 an ounce, now standing at $3,327.

Just yesterday (June 23), gold prices in Pakistan had already dropped by Rs300 per tola, continuing this downward momentum. So, if you’ve been waiting to shop for jewellery, this might be a good time to visit your local goldsmith.
