Zhalay Sarhadi Questions Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s Honey-Trap Allegations

Pakistani actress Zhalay Sarhadi has recently raised doubts about playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s claims of being the victim of a honey-trap scheme.

During a podcast appearance, Sarhadi addressed the leaked videos involving Qamar, questioning the circumstances under which the videos were created. She noted that both Qamar and the accused, Aamna Arooj, claimed the videos were made under duress with guns pointed at them. However, Sarhadi pointed out that no evidence of force was visible in the footage.

Sarhadi further questioned the clarity and the method of filming, wondering why, if Qamar was truly under threat, the videos were not clearer and why hidden cameras were used. She argued that in typical ransom situations, captors make straightforward videos with clear demands, unlike the blurry and clandestine footage released in Qamar’s case.

She emphasized that none of the leaked videos suggested that Qamar was held at gunpoint, as he claimed.

The controversy has kept Qamar in the spotlight, with allegations that he was targeted by a criminal gang and later released after paying a ransom. The main suspect had previously claimed possession of two videos of Qamar, each about an hour and a half long. The suspect later leaked the footage in two parts, showing Qamar in compromising situations with a woman.

Honey-Trap or Blackmail?

While Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar insists he was the victim of a honey-trap, Aamna Arooj’s lawyer claims it was a case of blackmail. According to the lawyer, Qamar began blackmailing Arooj a month before the incident, claiming to possess compromising photos taken in a changing room.

Initially, Qamar’s manager contacted Arooj, a property dealer who also creates promotional videos, under the pretense of work. However, the communication soon turned sinister, according to the lawyer. Qamar allegedly suggested that he could help Arooj advance in the entertainment industry but only if she fulfilled his personal demands.

The lawyer further revealed that incriminating chats and interactions between Qamar and Arooj are reportedly available on a mobile phone accessed by police officials, including the DIG, DSP, and Investigation Officer Imran Yousuf.

Arooj’s lawyer claimed that Qamar had met with her twice before and insisted on another meeting, during which he allegedly arrived intoxicated. At this meeting, Qamar allegedly pressured Arooj to engage in a physical relationship, threatening to leak the photos if she refused.

The situation escalated when Hasan Shah, identified as the mastermind behind the alleged gang, arrived. Despite Arooj’s attempts to intervene, Shah warned her of dire consequences if she interfered. Both Arooj and Qamar were allegedly kidnapped by Shah but were eventually released. Arooj later accused the police of torture, claiming she was slapped, given electric shocks, and pressured to declare the incident a honey trap.

This incident is not the first time Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has made headlines. His controversial comments regarding women and infidelity have previously stirred debates in the showbiz industry and among the public. Qamar’s outspoken nature and divisive statements have frequently placed him in the media spotlight, sparking ongoing debates about his influence on Pakistani culture and society.
