It has emerged that the national cricket team touring Australia lacks a doctor to provide medical assistance. As reported by Geo, the team, led by Shan Masood, is currently in Australia for a three-match test series, yet surprisingly, they do not have a doctor accompanying them.
Dr. Salim was intended to travel with the team, but visa complications arose, and it is anticipated that he will join the squad on December 14. While physiotherapists and massage therapists are with the team, former Test cricketer Shoaib Muhammad, who manages the U-19 national team, couldn’t accompany them due to passport issues.
During the fourth day of the four-day match against Prime Minister XI in Canberra, spinner Abrar Ahmed complained of pain in his right leg after bowling eight overs, leading to his rest.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated that Abrar Ahmed underwent an MRI scan due to the leg injury, and further details will be provided by the medical panel once the cricketer’s reports are available. So far in the match against Prime Minister XI, Abrar Ahmed has bowled 27 overs, claiming one wicket for 80 runs.
