In Islamabad today, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar met with UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi at the Prime Minister’s House.
During the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador extended a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the upcoming COP-28 meeting in Abu Dhabi. Recognizing Pakistan’s significant role in climate change negotiations, the UAE expressed hope for Pakistan’s active involvement in ensuring the success of COP-28.
Prime Minister Kakar commended the UAE for hosting the crucial global climate change conference and affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to actively participate in the event.
The discussion also encompassed progress in bilateral cooperation. The Prime Minister expressed contentment with the strong and diverse engagement between the two nations and emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration in energy, trade, and investment.
Regarding the situation in Gaza, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity for Muslim countries to unite and collectively urge the international community to halt the violence and prevent the unjust killing of innocent civilians in Gaza by the Israeli Occupation forces.
