The final decision regarding the extension of winter holidays will be determined within the next few days

The Caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has given an update regarding the potential extension of winter holidays for schools beyond January 9.

During his visit to Lahore Zoo, Naqvi mentioned that the decision regarding the extension of holidays would rely on the recommendations put forth by the School Education Department.

It’s worth noting that the education department previously prolonged the winter break for schools across Punjab until January 9. However, considering the extreme cold weather conditions, the possibility of a further extension cannot be dismissed.

The provincial government is anticipated to make a decision within the next few days.

Moreover, the caretaker CM also shared updates about ongoing projects. He indicated that both the Gujranwala Motorway and the Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi projects are slated to reach completion by the end of this month.

Additionally, he discussed the potential for another round of artificial rain in the provincial capital, contingent upon favorable weather conditions. Reports suggest that Punjab might conduct another instance of artificial rain during January.
