Saudi investors explore key business opportunities in Pakistan as OICCI and PBC host high-level delegation

A high-profile investors’ delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by His Highness Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, visited Karachi to explore new avenues of trade and investment in Pakistan. The delegation met senior executives of top multinational and leading local corporations in an interactive session jointly organized by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC).

The discussions centered on strengthening economic cooperation, promoting bilateral trade, and identifying strategic investment opportunities between the two brotherly nations.

Addressing the gathering virtually, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed the Saudi delegation and noted that Pakistan’s economy had achieved macroeconomic stability and was undergoing structural reforms aimed at long-term sustainability. He said the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had now entered “a new phase of strategic cooperation” that must translate into tangible economic outcomes and shared prosperity.

Welcoming the delegation, OICCI Secretary General M. Abdul Aleem said that the chamber, representing over 200 multinational companies, continued to serve as a trusted bridge between global investors and Pakistan’s business environment. He added that the growing Saudi interest reflects renewed international confidence in Pakistan’s reform agenda and investment potential.

PBC Chairperson Dr. Zeelaf Munir highlighted Pakistan’s improving economic climate, stable exchange rate, and rising business confidence, stating that Saudi participation could play a transformative role in driving sustainable growth, industrial expansion, and technology-led development.

OICCI President Yousaf Hussain emphasized the need to develop joint ventures and regional value chains with Saudi partners, saying such collaborations could accelerate export-led growth and regional prosperity.

PBC CEO Javed Kureshi briefed the delegation on strategic sectors and priority investment areas, commending the proactive role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in enabling foreign partnerships that can catalyze economic transformation.

Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud reaffirmed the Kingdom’s deep-rooted and strategic ties with Pakistan and stressed the importance of expanding those relations through sustained economic engagement and mutually beneficial investments.

Saudi Ambassador H.E. Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki lauded Pakistan’s ongoing economic reforms and the private sector’s active role, expressing optimism that this visit would open a new chapter in Saudi–Pakistan economic cooperation.

Both OICCI and PBC reiterated their commitment to facilitating long-term partnerships between Saudi and Pakistani businesses to strengthen bilateral trade and investment collaboration.
