Punjab opens applications for Honahar scholarship, offering free tuition to 80,000 students

LAHORE – The Punjab government has opened applications for the next phase of the Honahar Scholarship Program, a fully funded initiative covering 100% tuition fees for undergraduate students in the province.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said in a post on X that the scheme has already supported 80,000 students, including 50,000 current recipients and 30,000 more set to join soon. The program, launched in 2024, focuses on 67 high-demand and future-proof disciplines, ensuring graduates are prepared for emerging industries.

“The Honahar program is not just financial aid—it is an investment in your future. Apply with belief, study with passion, and never stop believing in what you can achieve,” she encouraged.

Authorities have confirmed that the scholarship is open to all eligible undergraduate students in Punjab, regardless of field, provided their discipline falls within the listed 67 categories.

Applications can be submitted via the official Honahar Scholarship portal, which contains full guidelines, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.
