The 2nd Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, held in Beijing on September 4, 2025, wrapped up with record-breaking outcomes, reinforcing the strength of bilateral trade and investment ties.
Organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in collaboration with its consulates in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, the one-day event facilitated nearly 3,000 curated B2B meetings across nine key sectors and 40 sub-sectors. The conference led to the signing of 21 joint venture agreements worth USD 1.5 billion and over 100 MoUs exceeding USD 7 billion, pushing the total investment commitments past USD 8.5 billion.
The milestone gathering was supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, the Board of Investment, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industries & Production, and provincial departments.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended both the opening and closing sessions, witnessed the signing ceremonies, and delivered a keynote speech. He lauded China’s rapid economic progress, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation, and pledged full facilitation, security, and follow-up on all agreements. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also played a pivotal role in guiding preparations.
Building on the momentum of the inaugural edition in Shenzhen, this year’s conference stood out for its sector-focused approach. Tailored pitch books, guidelines, orientation sessions, and feedback mechanisms ensured precise matchmaking and targeted results, setting a new benchmark for future editions.
