FBR Pushes June 2025 Sales Tax & Excise Return Filing Date to August 4

In a major relief for taxpayers, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the filing deadline for Sales Tax and Federal Excise Returns for June 2025.

The original due date of July 18, 2025, has now been pushed to August 4, 2025.

However, the extension is conditional—all due tax payments must be deposited by the original due date to avail the filing extension.

The notification has been sent to all Large Taxpayers Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) for implementation.

FBR has exercised its legal authority under Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 to make this decision.

This extension is expected to give taxpayers additional time to prepare accurate returns without delaying government revenue collection.
