RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sealed the marketing office of Capital Smart City Phase-III and an ATM of a private bank, warning citizens about the risks of investing in unauthorized housing projects.
Officials said the scheme was selling plots illegally at Airport Avenue without securing mandatory NOCs from RDA and violating Punjab housing laws. Despite repeated warnings, the sponsor continued unauthorized advertisements and construction.
The crackdown, led by DG Kinza Murtaza, was carried out by Assistant Director Planning Ali Raza and his enforcement team with police assistance.
RDA has urged the public to always verify a project’s legal status via its website or directly from the authority before making any payments.
