Barcelona Hosts Fundraising Dinner for Indus Hospital With Pakistani Actor Noman Ijaz as Special Guest
BARCELONA, Spain: A fundraising dinner for Pakistan’s Indus Hospital and Health Network was held in Barcelona, bringing together members of the Pakistani community, business figures, social leaders, and charity supporters to raise funds for free healthcare services in Pakistan.
The event was organized by the Friends of Indus Hospital Spain Chapter and attracted members of the Pakistani community from Barcelona, L’Hospitalet, Badalona, and surrounding areas.
Renowned Pakistani television and film actor Noman Ijaz attended the event as the special guest and received a warm welcome from participants.
Addressing the gathering, Noman Ijaz praised the humanitarian services provided by Indus Hospital and urged overseas Pakistanis to continue supporting people in need of medical treatment back home.
“Indus Hospital is not just a hospital; it represents hope for those who cannot afford treatment. I have seen patients receiving free medical care there with my own eyes. It is our responsibility, even while living abroad, not to forget those in our country who are struggling to access healthcare. The Barcelona community has won hearts today,” Noman Ijaz said.
Dr. Zafar Zaidi represented Indus Hospital at the event and delivered a detailed presentation about the organization’s healthcare network and its services across Pakistan.
Dr. Zaidi said Indus Hospital currently operates 15 hospitals in more than 13 cities, four physical rehabilitation centres, and dozens of primary care clinics across Pakistan, where thousands of patients receive free medical treatment every day.
He also highlighted the important role played by overseas Pakistanis in supporting the hospital’s charitable healthcare mission.
Journalist and community leader Hafiz Ahmed hosted and moderated the event. He encouraged participants to support the charitable initiative and helped facilitate engagement between the Indus Hospital team and the Pakistani community in Barcelona.
During the fundraising dinner, participants announced donations and monthly contributions to support the hospital’s healthcare services. Several attendees also pledged to sponsor hospital beds in the names of their families.
Representatives of the local Pakistani business community, Pakistan Press Club Spain, and various social organizations also attended the event.
At the conclusion of the gathering, the organizers thanked Noman Ijaz, Dr. Zafar Zaidi, Hafiz Ahmed, members of the Pakistani community, and other guests for their participation and support.
The organizers expressed hope that continued contributions from overseas Pakistanis would help Indus Hospital sustain and expand its mission of providing free healthcare services to patients in need across Pakistan.
