Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre organized a prestigious networking event in the Spanish city of Barcelona to engage the Pakistani community and raise awareness about its ongoing mission to provide free cancer treatment to deserving patients.
The event was held at Casa del Mar, one of Barcelona’s well-known venues, and brought together members of the Pakistani diaspora, community leaders, and professionals from various fields.
The proceedings were hosted by Dr. Raja Irfan Majeed. The chief guest, Dr. Aamir Rehman Farooqi, addressed the audience and highlighted the humanitarian services of Shaukat Khanum, its welfare projects for cancer patients, and the critical role played by overseas Pakistanis in supporting the hospital’s charitable mission.
A major highlight of the evening was the special appearance of renowned Pakistani actress Reema Khan. Speaking to attendees, she praised the life-saving work being carried out by Shaukat Khanum and paid tribute to Pakistanis living abroad for their continued spirit of generosity and service.
The Shaukat Khanum team also acknowledged the efforts of the Barcelona Chapter, led by Chairman Shahzad Asghar Bhatti, along with team members Tahir Rafiq, Raja Shafiq Kiani, Huma Jamshed, Syed Zulqarnain Shah, Abdul Saboor, and Shahbaz Malik, for successfully organizing the event.
The purpose of the gathering was to strengthen connections within the Pakistani community in Barcelona and build greater awareness and support for Shaukat Khanum’s charitable healthcare initiatives.
