Pakistan showcases sustainable textiles at Texworld Paris 2025 with 23 companies on display
Karachi, September 15, 2025 – Texworld, Apparel Sourcing, and Leatherworld Paris 2025 opened today at the Paris–Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, bringing together three days of global textile innovation, sourcing, and industry networking. Running through September 17, the fair has drawn over 1,300 exhibitors from more than 35 countries, including China, India, Türkiye, Korea, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
Now in its 57th edition, Texworld remains a leading platform for fabric suppliers, garment manufacturers, and fashion industry stakeholders. This year’s streamlined format combines Texworld (fabrics) and Apparel Sourcing (garments) under one roof, offering global buyers a comprehensive sourcing experience.
A major highlight is the participation of 23 Pakistani companies, presenting an impressive mix of textiles, garments, and sustainable products. Seven of these firms, recognized by GIZ for eco-friendly practices, are showcasing their work at the dedicated Sustainable Pakistan Pavilion.
Pakistan’s strong representation spans both fabric and apparel segments. United Impex, Noor Garments, and WiMetrix are exhibiting under Texworld, while Apparel Sourcing features leading names such as Agility Textile (Pvt) Ltd, Burlytex Pvt Ltd, A. Majeed & Sons, Golf & Sports, SHZ Textiles, Spiky International, Zephyrs Textile, Kohinoor Textile Mills Ltd., MG Apparel Ltd., and others.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, and Pakistan’s Trade and Investment Officer (TIO), Salman Ahmed Chaudhry, visited the exhibition on Day 1 to encourage and engage with the country’s business representatives.
Industry voices also reflected optimism.
M. Jamshed Anwar, CEO of Jamshed Apparel, said: “The start is quite good. We’ve already met 2–3 buyers and exchanged contracts. We are hopeful for more in the coming days.”
Muhammad Sadiq Kandar, Senior Manager Garments at Adamjee Enterprises, added: “So far so good. We’ve had serious visitors and are looking forward to more opportunities during the exhibition.”
Beyond national pavilions, the Avantex area highlighted future-facing innovations in sustainable and tech-enabled fashion, pointing to the evolving direction of the global industry.
Texworld Paris is regarded as a major gateway for textile and apparel exporters seeking access to the European market. For Pakistan, the strong turnout reinforces its growing role in the global fashion supply chain and strengthens long-term networks between domestic manufacturers and international buyers.
