Emerson University Multan rocked by scandal as VC steps down over leaked video

MULTAN: The Vice Chancellor of Emerson University Multan, Dr. Ramzan Gujjar, has stepped down after obscene videos allegedly involving him went viral, prompting anger among students and faculty.

The controversy began when indecent clips linked to the vice chancellor surfaced online earlier this week. The leak led to protests and renewed scrutiny of Dr. Gujjar, who had already faced accusations for nearly two years of maintaining an improper relationship with a university colleague.

Reports suggest that the colleague had given a statement regarding the allegations, which added to the mounting pressure on the administration. Students and staff staged demonstrations demanding accountability, further isolating the VC.

On Thursday, Dr. Gujjar resigned from his post, ending his nearly four-year tenure as the head of Emerson University Multan. The Higher Education Department is expected to appoint an interim replacement soon.
