The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has released the Class 9th annual results for 2025, showing a 45.12% overall success rate.
Out of 257,445 registered candidates, 251,395 appeared in the exam. Among them, 113,431 students passed.
Group-wise breakdown shows:

Science Group: 199,176 appeared, 97,609 passed (49.01%)

Humanities Group: 52,219 appeared, 15,822 passed (30.30%)
Institutional performance highlighted a clear gap:

Government schools: 39.99% pass rate

Private schools: 66.34% pass rate, with private school girls in science achieving the highest success (72.48%)

Private candidates: only 29% cleared exams, with male humanities students struggling the most (20.19% pass rate)
Gender-wise analysis confirmed that girls performed better:
