Islamabad — The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has confirmed that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will take place on Sunday, October 5, starting at 10:00am across Pakistan.
In its official announcement, the PMDC stated that each candidate must sit for the exam in the province of their domicile. The council said the rule is non-negotiable and is designed to uphold fairness and administrative efficiency.
Registration for the MDCAT will begin on August 8 and end on August 25. Candidates who miss the initial deadline will be able to apply until September 1 with a late fee.
The fee structure has been finalised as follows:

Local candidates: Rs9,000 (regular), Rs13,000 (late fee)

Overseas candidates: Rs45,000 (regular), Rs55,000 (late fee)
The 2025 exam will consist of 180 MCQs, with 15% of the questions falling in a higher difficulty bracket to evaluate advanced problem-solving and conceptual skills.
