Seven Pakistani Players Miss Training Session Ahead of India Clash

The Pakistan cricket team held an optional training session in Ahmedabad before their World Cup showdown against India.

Participating in the session were Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, along with Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Mohammad Haris, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Abrar Ahmed, and Iftikhar Ahmed. The rest of the team opted for rest at the hotel.

Absent from the training were Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Saud Shakeel, Usama Mir, and Hassan Ali.

Before the training session, Captain Babar held a pre-match press conference and emphasized the importance of the coin toss in the upcoming match.

“Considering the matches played so far, the toss has played a crucial role. The pitch performs well under the lights, and there was dew last night. We will consult with the umpires regarding outfield dew treatment,” Babar stated.

He also expressed hope for fan support in Ahmedabad, saying, “We received support in Hyderabad, and we anticipate the crowd will back us in Ahmedabad as well. However, it would have been even better if Pakistani fans were allowed to travel to India.”
