PTI holds massive protest in Barcelona as Imran Khan’s imprisonment enters second year

Barcelona – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organized a large-scale protest in Barcelona, Spain, to mark two years since party chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan was imprisoned.

The demonstration drew a huge turnout of overseas Pakistanis, who demanded Imran Khan’s immediate release and strongly criticized Pakistan’s judicial system.

PTI UK President Malik Imran Khalil and PTI Spain President Shehzad Bhatti addressed the gathering, shedding light on Imran Khan’s political journey, the legal cases against him, and the worsening state of democracy in Pakistan.

Malik Imran Khalil declared, “Imran Khan is not just a leader, he is an ideology. The judiciary and establishment may try to suppress democracy, but they cannot erase him from the hearts of the people.”

Shehzad Bhatti stressed that overseas Pakistanis are united in their support, adding, “This protest is proof that Imran Khan is not alone – Pakistanis around the globe stand with him.”

Protesters carried banners and placards demanding press freedom, fair elections, and Khan’s release, chanting slogans such as “Release Imran Khan,” “Justice for Pakistan,” and “Stop Political Victimization.”

The peaceful protest concluded with organizers warning that if Khan is not freed soon, similar demonstrations will spread across Europe.
