LAHORE — Tech enthusiasts in Pakistan finally have reason to celebrate as the country is set to welcome its first-ever official Apple retail store by the end of 2025.
The announcement came during Airlink Communication’s latest corporate briefing, attended by Topline Securities, where company officials confirmed that the Apple store will be located inside Dolmen Mall Lahore, one of the city’s premier shopping destinations. The outlet will operate alongside a Xiaomi store, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s tech retail landscape.
This development follows Airlink’s appointment in September 2024 as a premium partner for Apple in Pakistan. The partnership was formalised through GNEXT Technologies, Apple’s authorised distributor in the country, with the goal of expanding structured retail access to Apple’s complete product ecosystem.
At the time, Airlink stated that the collaboration would provide customers with easier access to iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and accessories through authorised retail channels—ending years of reliance on third-party and grey-market sellers.
In the same briefing, Airlink also announced that it expects a shipment of 10,000 Acer laptops by November. These completely built units (CBUs) will be part of a pilot project aimed at exploring local manufacturing of laptops if the initiative performs well.
Additionally, Airlink revealed plans to onboard another mobile phone brand for local manufacturing and distribution, though no official agreement has been finalised yet.
Industry analysts view this as a significant breakthrough for Pakistan’s consumer tech market, potentially setting the stage for Apple’s formal retail and after-sales ecosystem in the country.
