In a remarkable display of dominance, Pakistan has emerged victorious over Australia in a thrilling three-match volleyball series, clinching a clean sweep triumph. The final showdown unfolded at the Liaquat Gymnasium in the Pakistan Sports Complex, where Pakistan outclassed Australia with a resounding 3-0 victory in sets.
Despite their best efforts, the Australian team, famously known as the Kangaroos, found themselves unable to break the winning streak of the Green Shirts. Pakistan sealed the deal in the third match with impressive scores of 26-24, 25-20, and 25-20.
Adding prestige to the occasion, Rana Mashhood, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Alongside Chaudhry Yaqoob, distinguished awards were presented to the deserving athletes.
Pakistan’s triumph in this series marks a historic achievement, with the team securing straight sets victories in the first and second matches as well.
Notably, this series also serves as a significant milestone for Australian volleyball, marking their inaugural appearance in Pakistan for such competitive fixtures.
