Pakistan Among World’s Weakest Passports in 2025, Ranks 96th Globally

KARACHI – Pakistan has been ranked among the world’s least powerful passports, taking the 96th spot in the Henley Passport Index 2025, issued by UK-based Henley & Partners.

The report shows that Pakistani citizens enjoy visa-free access to only 32 destinations, placing the country on par with Yemen and Somalia as the fourth weakest passport worldwide.

In comparison, China sits at 60th, India at 77th, and Iran at 91st, all higher than Pakistan.

On the other end of the spectrum, Singapore dominates the rankings, offering its passport holders visa-free access to 193 out of 227 global destinations. Japan and South Korea follow in second place with 190 destinations, while seven European nations, including Germany, France, and Italy, are tied for third with access to 189 destinations.

The Henley Passport Index highlights the stark mobility divide, with Afghanistan ranking last, its citizens able to enter only 25 destinations without a prior visa.

The findings reflect Pakistan’s ongoing struggle to improve global mobility, affecting travel, business, and international opportunities for its citizens.
