Pakistani & Kashmiri International Organizations Applaud Canadian Prime Minister’s Stance on Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s Assassination
London: In a joint statement, Chairman Raja Sikander Khan and President Kala Khan, representing the prestigious Pakistani & Kashmiri International Organization and the esteemed think tank, the Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council, expressed their appreciation for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent remarks regarding India’s alleged involvement in the tragic assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Sikh leader who lost his life on June 18, 2023. Nijjar was well-known for his relentless advocacy for Khalistan, an independent homeland for Sikhs.
During a session at the Parliament House in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau disclosed that Canadian security agencies had been rigorously investigating potential connections between Indian government agents and the killing of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In response to these investigations, Canada has taken the unprecedented action of expelling India’s top diplomat and formally raising the matter with President Joe Biden of the United States.
Raja Sikander Khan and Kala Khan, in their joint statement, underscored how the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil has shed light on the troubling presence of India’s alleged state-sponsored terrorism activities not only in Canada but also in several other nations. Both leaders commended Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for addressing this pressing issue with courage and conviction.
Furthermore, Raja Sikander Khan and Kala Khan called upon the United Nations to dispatch a fact-finding mission to the illegally Indian Occupied Kashmir region. The mission’s objective would be to investigate the disturbing incidents of violence, including the killings and disappearances of Kashmiri leaders, as well as the widespread human rights violations purportedly committed by the Indian Armed Forces.
This statement reflects the unwavering commitment of the Pakistani & Kashmiri International Organization and the Global Pak Kashmir Supreme Council to advancing peace, justice, and human rights in the region. They eagerly anticipate international efforts that will promote transparency and accountability in these critical matters.
