New car models drive 28% surge in Pakistan’s July 2025 auto sales

Pakistan’s auto sector posted strong year-on-year growth in July 2025, with car sales rising 28% to 11,034 units, according to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA). Analysts attribute the increase to new model launches, lower borrowing costs, and a healthier economic outlook.

Indus Motor Company’s sales doubled to 3,337 units, Hyundai Nishat surged 2.1 times to 1,225 units, and Honda Atlas climbed 61% to 1,500 units. Sazgar Engineering recorded a 31% increase, aided by the launch of the new Haval facelift, while Pak Suzuki’s sales fell 18%.

Motorbike and rickshaw sales grew 44% YoY to 122,441 units, including 542 electric vehicles. Tractor sales dropped 18% and truck/bus sales rose 22%.
