Mohsin Naqvi, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, has been elected unopposed as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the next three years.
On January 19, Zaka Ashraf stepped down from his position as PCB chairman, having served since July of the previous year. Initially appointed for a four-month term, his tenure was later extended by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar until the ODI World Cup 2023.
Upon accepting the resignation of former PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf, Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar nominated Mohsin Naqvi as his candidate in the PCB Governing Body.
