Islamabad: In a significant development, the Asian Parliamentarians’ Forum on Population and Development, in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), issued the Islamabad Declaration during a meeting held in Islamabad.
As part of this declaration, Japan’s Minister of State announced funding for three projects aimed at addressing climate change in Pakistan. Furthermore, the Minister assured support in securing World Bank funding to help Pakistan manage climate-related disasters.
The Forum also expressed its willingness to grant Pakistan a seat on its Executive Council, reflecting SIFC’s successful efforts in enhancing Pakistan’s global standing.
