Honor Magic V Flip 2 launches with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, dual OLED screens, and fast charging

Honor has expanded its foldable lineup with the launch of the Magic V Flip 2, a premium clamshell device unveiled in China. Competing with Samsung’s Z Flip 7 and Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra, the phone promises a powerful flagship experience with next-gen hardware, striking design, and the largest battery in any flip phone to date.

Immersive Displays and Build
The Magic V Flip 2 boasts a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED main screen (2868 x 1232 pixels) that supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, Dolby Vision, and a remarkable 5,000 nits peak brightness. Its 4.0-inch outer screen also features 120Hz refresh and up to 3,600 nits brightness, making multitasking smoother.

The device is lightweight at 204g and measures 6.9mm when unfolded. It carries IP58/IP59 ratings for water and dust resistance, plus hinge durability certification. Honor is also offering a limited Jimmy Choo edition alongside the standard color variants.

Flagship Internals
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the Magic V Flip 2 comes with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, ensuring blazing-fast performance. Running on Android 15 with MagicOS 9, it brings AI-powered enhancements, split-screen multitasking, and an intuitive user interface.

Photography Setup
For photography, the foldable comes with a 200MP main camera and 50MP ultrawide lens, backed by OIS. On the inside, a 50MP selfie camera is placed, though users can also capture high-quality selfies with the rear cameras using the cover display.

Massive Battery Upgrade
A standout feature is the 5,500 mAh battery, the biggest in the flip phone category. It supports 80W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse charging, giving it an edge over competitors.

Launch and Availability
At present, the phone has launched in China only, with no official word on global availability or pricing.
