Google Pixel 10 Series Launched: Tensor G5, PixelSnap Magnetic Ecosystem, and Camera Upgrades

Google has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Pixel 10 series at its Made by Google event in New York. The lineup includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (covered separately).

The new Pixel phones come powered by the Tensor G5 processor, run on Android 16, and bring a host of hardware and software improvements — from telephoto upgrades to the all-new PixelSnap magnetic accessory system, Google’s answer to Apple’s MagSafe.

Design and Display

The Pixel 10 sports a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (60–120Hz) and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. For the first time, the base Pixel adds a telephoto sensor to its signature camera bar design.

  • Colors: Indigo, Frost, Lemongrass, Obsidian

The Pixel 10 Pro steps up to a 6.7-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display, offering 1–120Hz dynamic refresh, sharper resolution, and 3,300 nits peak brightness.

  • Colors: Porcelain, Obsidian, Bay Blue

The Pixel 10 Pro XL takes it further with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel and the same 1–120Hz adaptive refresh. It maintains durability with IP68 protection while offering the largest display in the lineup.

  • Colors: Same as Pro

Performance and Software

All models are powered by the 3nm Google Tensor G5 processor with the Titan M2 security chip.

  • Pixel 10: 12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 4.0 storage

  • Pixel 10 Pro & Pro XL: 16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options

Every phone ships with Android 16 and will receive seven years of OS and security updates, bringing them on par with Samsung’s Galaxy flagships.

New software features include Gemini AI integration, better voice and translation tools, and Google-exclusive on-device AI enhancements.
