Goodbye Zoom and Google Meet? WhatsApp Launches Screen-Sharing During Video Calls

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that lets you show your computer or phone screen to others during a video call. This is useful for working together, showing things, or fixing issues from far away. So, you can now have online meetings on WhatsApp, which makes talking very easy.

When you’re on a video call, you can tap a new button at the bottom of the screen to share your screen with everyone on the call. It will show everything on your screen, like messages, and it will also be recorded and shared with others on the call. To avoid interruptions, it’s a good idea to turn on the “Do Not Disturb” mode or something similar.

You’re in control and can stop showing your screen whenever you want. To use this, you need to get the latest beta version 23.12.0.74 of the app.And to make sure your talks stay private, the app, owned by Meta, has a new feature. The screen recording will only be shared when the person sharing the screen gives permission.

Right now, this update is only for people who test the beta version. But soon, everyone should be able to use the new features, probably in a few weeks.
