Ethiopian envoy meets Saudi ambassador in Islamabad to boost bilateral cooperation

ISLAMABAD – H.E. Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE), met with H.E. Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation at bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed areas of mutual interest, including diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations.

Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker highlighted the political, economic, legal, and social reforms being implemented by the Government of Ethiopia under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. He underlined Ethiopia’s deep respect for its historic ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and expressed the country’s commitment to further strengthening these relations.

Ambassador Al-Malki reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to work closely with Ethiopia to deepen bilateral cooperation and expand engagement in regional and international forums.

The meeting underscored the shared desire of both nations to build on their longstanding partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration.
