Dominica, a member country of the West Indies, has pulled out from hosting the T20 World Cup

Dominica, a West Indies member country, has decided to withdraw from hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches.

Initially slated to host one first-round and two Super 8 matches as part of the tournament, Dominica was one of the seven West Indies and three USA venues selected by the ICC for the event.

However, citing incomplete preparations and an inability to meet infrastructure requirements within the stipulated timeframe, the government of Dominica announced their withdrawal from hosting the event. The 2024 T20 World Cup, the ninth tournament in this format, is planned to be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA.
