H.E. Ambassador Jemal Beker and Bukhari Travels Collaborate to Boost Ethiopian Tourism in Pakistan

Islamabad: In a significant move to strengthen Ethiopia-Pakistan relations and promote Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage, H.E. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, met with H.E. Sardar Sajjad Hussain, Managing Director of Bukhari Travels and Tourism Services Pakistan. The meeting took place at the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday.

The discussion centered on collaborative efforts to showcase Ethiopia’s ancient history, diverse culture, and thriving tourism industry, particularly under the leadership of Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. Ambassador Beker highlighted the Prime Minister’s transformative role in modernizing Ethiopia’s tourist destinations and establishing new ones, making the country a more attractive destination for global travelers.

A key focus of the meeting was Ethiopia’s participation in the Pakistan Travel Mart 2025, where the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad plans to showcase the country’s unique tourism offerings and cultural heritage. This event is expected to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Pakistan, while also providing a platform for Pakistanis to explore the beauty and history of Ethiopia.

Ambassador Jemal Beker also expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Bukhari Travels during the Karachi Feast, where Ethiopia’s tourism and culture were prominently featured at the Tourism Pavilion. This collaboration is seen as a vital step in enhancing tourism exchanges and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations.
