World Cup 2023: Bhogle selects two Pakistani players to keep an eye on

Hyderabad, October 2: Harsha Bhogle, the renowned Indian cricket commentator, has underlined the significant roles of two Pakistani players, Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, in the upcoming World Cup 2023.

During a conversation on Cricbuzz, Bhogle stressed that Pakistan’s success in the tournament could heavily depend on the performances of these two dynamic cricketers.

According to Bhogle, “Pakistan cannot secure victory in this World Cup without two players delivering outstanding performances – Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi. Babar Azam is arguably the best One Day batsman based on current form. While Virat Kohli might have his own perspective on this, there’s no denying that Babar Azam is currently displaying exceptional cricket.”

Furthermore, Bhogle highlighted the crucial role of Shaheen Afridi in Pakistan’s bowling attack. The left-arm fast bowler’s ability to take wickets early in the innings could be the key to stabilizing the team’s position.

Bhogle concluded by saying, “For Pakistan, it comes down to the dynamic duo of Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi.”
