Former Bollywood actress and author Twinkle Khanna recently issued a humorous warning to her husband, Akshay Kumar, about the consequences of remarriage, even before the idea could cross his mind.
In her latest blog, Twinkle shared a light-hearted anecdote from their recent vacation. The couple found themselves joking about the possibility of Akshay marrying again after her passing.
Twinkle recounted that during one evening on their trip, their tour guide introduced them to a pair of birds called ‘tick-tock.’ The guide explained that these birds are so devoted to each other that if one dies, the other consumes poisonous grass to end its own life.

Inspired by this story, Twinkle jokingly told Akshay that if she were to pass away first, he should follow the birds’ example and eat the poisonous grass. She playfully added, “Because if you remarry after my death and I see you two together, I promise I will haunt both of you!”
Akshay, with his trademark wit, humorously replied, “I’d rather eat the poisonous grass now so I don’t have to listen to this nonsense.”
Twinkle and Akshay, who tied the knot in 2001, have two children together, and their playful banter is just another example of their strong bond and sense of humor.
