Thousands attend grand International Overseas Convention organized by Pak Federation Spain

Barcelona – In a vibrant and historic gathering, Pak Federation Spain successfully organized the International Overseas Convention in Barcelona, drawing thousands of Pakistani participants from across Spain, Europe, the UK, and the United States.

The event aimed to spotlight the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, strengthen ties with their homeland, and promote a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage.

The chief guest, Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Syed Qamar Raza Shah, applauded the role of overseas Pakistanis and called the convention an ideal platform for sharing experiences and formulating collective strategies to address common challenges.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a tribute to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Welcoming the attendees, Chaudhry Faizullah Sahi, President of Pak Federation Spain, highlighted the local community’s challenges and urged the OPF chairman to take practical steps to resolve them.

Prominent guests in attendance included Member of European Parliament Sajjad Karim, Chaudhry Sajid Tarar, Chaudhry Mehr Zaheer Akhtar, Chaudhry Musarrat Ali, Sardar Siddique, Sardar Zahoor Ahmad, Chaudhry Amanat Hussain Mehr, Naeem Naqshbandi, Ernesto, and several other distinguished personalities.

The hall echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad”, “Pak Army Zindabad”, and “Field Marshal Asim Munir Zindabad” as participants waved flags and sang patriotic songs, creating an emotionally charged atmosphere filled with love for Pakistan.

In his speech, Syed Qamar Raza Shah praised the bravery of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, particularly under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for their resolute response to India’s recent aggression — a moment he called “historic and unforgettable.”

He noted that Pakistan’s military strategy and patience are now being globally acknowledged.

Pakistan’s Consul General in Barcelona, Mr. Murad Ali Wazir, congratulated Pak Federation Spain on organizing such a successful convention and reaffirmed the consulate’s commitment to serving the Pakistani community and addressing their concerns.

Throughout the event, speakers addressed key issues affecting overseas Pakistanis, including visa delays, investment challenges, documentation hurdles, and identity-related problems. Concrete suggestions were offered to resolve these issues effectively.

The convention concluded with a pledge to continue such events, workshops, and consultation forums in the future to further empower the overseas Pakistani community and deepen ties with the homeland.
