The world’s top 10 most beautiful and breathtaking airports have been revealed—led by a stunning airstrip in northwest Ireland.
The global ranking comes from PrivateFly, a luxury jet booking platform, which surveyed over 7,000 people to find the most scenic airports based on take-off and landing experiences.
Taking the top spot for the second time is Donegal Airport, located in County Donegal, Ireland. Travelers praised the striking scenery—mountains on one side, a coastline dotted with islands on the other, and golden sandy beaches lining the runway.
According to one participant, “The view is spectacular—soaring over the Atlantic Ocean with wild cliffs and remote beauty all around. It’s pure magic.”

The airport’s popularity soared after the opening of the Wild Atlantic Way, a coastal route spanning nine countries, which brought Donegal wider attention.
Second place went to Barra Airport in Scotland, famous for allowing small jets to land directly on the beach. One traveler described the experience as “a one-of-a-kind landing on sand, with stunning views all along the route.”
France’s Nice Airport ranked third, thanks to its sweeping Riviera coastline views,
while Orlando Melbourne Airport in the United States took fourth, favored for its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the Kennedy Space Center.
