The Eighth Annual World Halal Food Festival is making a return to London

London is gearing up to host the world’s most extensive and longstanding halal food festival, scheduled for September 23rd to 24th, as announced by the event’s organizers. This eighth edition of the World Halal Food Festival will take place at the London Stadium, situated within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Previously known as the London Halal Food Festival, this year’s event promises to attract a global audience of halal food enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to savor a wide range of international halal cuisine and explore numerous shopping stalls throughout the weekend.

The festival will feature live cookery demonstrations by renowned celebrity chefs at the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre, captivating performances on the main stage, and the entertaining and spicy Halal Eat-Off competitions, as highlighted in a statement by Algebra Festivals, the event’s organizers.

The festival has expanded its offerings to cater to a diverse audience, including a Kids Zone, Dessert Zone, VIP Lounge, and much more, ensuring it becomes an unforgettable family day out.

The World Halal Food Festival also announced that British chef and author Nadiya Hussain will conduct a live cookery demonstration at the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. local time, coinciding with the release of her new book, “Nadiya’s Simple Spices,” and the launch of her new series with the same name on BBC Two.

Algebra Festivals revealed that the event will feature additional live cookery demonstrations by Ali Rehman, an acclaimed international food blogger, Omar Foster, the runner-up in this year’s MasterChef competition, and the award-winning music producer Naughty Boy, who will introduce his famous ‘Naughty Boy Kitchen’ to the World Halal Food Festival for the first time ever.

This inclusive festival caters to both halal-only eaters and those who simply enjoy great food. Organized and managed by Algebra Festivals, the team behind some of the world’s most significant Muslim consumer events, such as the London Muslim Shopping Festival at ExCel London and the London Eid Festival at Westfield London, the World Halal Food Festival is set to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees throughout the year.

The festival also proudly announced the London Metropolitan Police as their community partner, with Western Union and the British Islamic Trade Association as co-partners, and Tariq Halal Meats as their official title sponsor.

Waleed Jahangir, managing director at Algebra Festivals, expressed excitement about returning to the iconic London Stadium for the world’s premier halal food event, emphasizing the festival’s role in uniting diverse communities through the flavors of the world.

Graham Gilmore, CEO of London Stadium, echoed this sentiment, expressing delight in hosting this remarkable food festival for the third consecutive year, emphasizing how the venue brings together the food, music, and culture of the Muslim community for all to enjoy in the heart of East London.
