Taylor Swift Meets Families of Southport Stabbing Victims Ahead of London Concert

Before her recent concert at Wembley Stadium in London, Taylor Swift met with families affected by the devastating mass stabbing at a children’s dance class in Southport this July.

The tragic incident on July 29 resulted in the deaths of three young girls and left several others, including adults, injured.

One mother, who documented the encounter on TikTok, shared touching photos of Swift meeting her daughters backstage. The images show Swift warmly embracing the two young girls, with the older child visibly wearing a bandage on her left forearm. Both girls were dressed in T-shirts themed after Swift’s “Red” album, and the photos also captured a moment of the girls smiling alongside Swift’s mother, Andrea.

In her TikTok caption, the mother expressed her heartfelt thanks: “You drew stars around my scars 💫…. The biggest thank you to @Taylor Swift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all, thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always 💗💗💗.”

Ahead of her concert, which was part of the Eras Tour, Swift took time to host multiple families impacted by the Southport tragedy. This Wembley show was one of her final performances before concluding the European leg of her tour.

Although Swift did not publicly address the attack during her concert, she had previously expressed her deep sorrow in a statement: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock… The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

A 17-year-old has been charged with murder and attempted murder following the stabbing incident.
