Saudia flies over 17.5 million passengers in first half of 2025 with strong traffic from Pakistan
Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, reported strong operational growth in the first half of 2025, carrying more than 17.5 million passengers — a 7.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to its latest performance report.
Pakistan remains one of Saudia’s most important markets, with millions of travelers flying between the two countries each year for Hajj, Umrah, business, and family visits. The airline’s reputation for reliable service, varied flight options, and tailored facilities for religious travel continues to make it the top choice for Pakistani passengers.
Saudia operated over 100,000 flights during this period, covering 293,500 flight hours and achieving an impressive on-time performance rate of 89.6%. The carrier was ranked first in the world for punctuality in March and June 2025 by global aviation analytics firm Cirium.
International traffic reached 9.6 million passengers, a 5% year-on-year increase, supported by more than 43,700 international flights. Domestically, the airline carried over 7.9 million passengers, marking a 10% rise, with 56,400 flights across Saudi Arabia.
Saudia credited its success to the dedication of its national workforce, ongoing operational improvements, and investments in advanced digital systems. The airline currently operates a fleet of 148 aircraft and plans to add 117 new planes in the coming years, increasing capacity on key routes — including those serving Pakistan — and launching new destinations.
