Notification states that Dar will have the authority to determine the PMLN candidates for the elections

Shehbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), has designated Senator Ishaq Dar as the leader of the party’s election cell for the upcoming polls. The announcement was made through a notification issued by PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday, with the endorsement of Shehbaz Sharif. The notification stated, “With the approval of the President PML-N, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is hereby appointed as Chairman, Election Cell PML-N, for General Elections 2024.”

Marriyum Aurangzeb, the spokesperson for PML-N, expressed in a tweet that the party’s election-related activities will gain greater momentum with this recent appointment. She mentioned, “All activities related to the polls, including the application process for securing the party’s candidacy, will be concluded shortly.” Once the party candidates receive their nominations, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif will commence addressing public rallies across the country.
