Islamabad’s Jinnah Ground has transformed into a vibrant stage of patriotism as Pakistan commemorates its 78th Independence Day alongside the historic success of Marka-e-Haq. The nation’s leadership — President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir — are attending as guests of honour, joined by senior military officers, ministers, lawmakers, diplomats, and notable public figures.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by an awe-inspiring tri-services parade showcasing the skill and discipline of Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force. The ceremony honours the strategic victory of Marka-e-Haq, a milestone being remembered for its national and symbolic significance.
Festivities include cultural performances, a dramatic flypast, and the armed forces parade. One of the most anticipated moments will be the unveiling of the Marka-e-Haq Monument by the prime minister, paying homage to Pakistan’s military success against India.
