Islamabad: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Pakistan, to discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation in ecology and climate change.
The meeting focused on exchanging experiences and technologies for mitigating climate change effects and exploring possibilities for joint environmental projects. Ambassador Kistafin highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two nations to achieve shared goals in environmental protection and sustainable development.
Ambassador Kistafin also extended an official invitation for Pakistan to participate in the ministerial conference of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on ecological issues, scheduled for August 28, 2024, in an online format.
Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam expressed gratitude for the invitation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to actively participate in the upcoming conference. She also emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to engaging in bilateral working groups to further strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan.
