Joint Efforts Needed to Tackle Climate Change: Romina Khurshid Alam

Islamabad: Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address the challenges of climate change. Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad today, she highlighted the government’s initiatives to integrate climate resilience into national planning.

Romina Khurshid Alam pointed out that the National Adaptation Plan, Climate Change Policy, and Water Policy serve as guidelines for managing climate risks. She underscored the severe losses Pakistan has suffered due to climate-related events, noting that the country is among the most vulnerable to climate change.

She also stressed the urgent need for climate and disaster risk financing to build resilience against the growing threats posed by climate change.
