Italian Ambassador Sadiq Sanjrani and the envoy engage in a conversation regarding the potential for enhancing bilateral relations

Islamabad: Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani had a meeting with Italy’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Andreas Ferrarese. The discussion primarily revolved around shared interests, with a particular focus on the ongoing regional dynamics and energy-related issues.

Chairman Senate underscored the strong and friendly relations existing between the two countries and called for further strengthening of their bilateral ties. He also stressed the importance of diversifying energy sources beyond traditional methods, highlighting the untapped potential in solar and wind energy within Pakistan.

Sadiq Sanjrani also acknowledged the expertise of Italian energy professionals and proposed collaboration to explore alternative methods of electricity generation in Pakistan. Given the escalating impacts of climate change, Chairman Senate emphasized the global need to transition towards clean energy generation. The meeting concluded with a joint commitment to enhance trade and economic relations between Italy and Pakistan.

Furthermore, Sanjrani extended an invitation to Italian businesses to explore investment opportunities available in Pakistan, particularly in the mineral sector, with a specific focus on Balochistan, which could be advantageous for Italian investors.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep commitment to its relationship with Italy and its desire to enhance cooperation across various sectors, with a strong emphasis on economic collaboration.
